This is as far as I got:-
Had a roll back and forward on it and there was the unmistakeable sound of cracking ply - the old stuff ain't too good, particualrly around the edges. Infact I'd tried to fill a bit of a hole and this was where it was starting to crack:-
And the surface of the old ply ain't too good either. Too long outside:-
So, what to do? I'm not a fan of A&E but I could patch and try to make good, or rip it all off and put some new ply on there, which it will need at somepoint anyway.I ain't that good a skater so I need all the help I can get. The obvious thing to do was bite the bullet and get some new ply.
So out with the crowbar and hammer, trying to avoid twatting my bruised fingers (which I did several times), and what we have now is a naked ramp:-
Just from the wee roll I had it feels nice so I reckon this will be worth it in the long run.
